Larry,

Or should I say Mr. Bubb? Anyway thanx for coming to our school and bringing the Holy Spirit and the word to us. If I'm the only one saying this, I can say I speak for us all. I thought the speaker coming was just another speaker. Well guess what? I was wrong. You are truly a blessing in disguise as a human. I thank God for you coming to us and telling your stories. After you spoke about Jesus' life I thought to myself this must be an angel. You just hit home and I have heard lots of stories on Jesus and yours ranks up there above them all. When you talked (the day before) you read my mind. I thought about life ending and why am I here on this sin infested earth. When you talked about your stories about suicide I made my decision not to even have thoughts. Well, I just wanted to tell you how much you impacted me and the rest of the schools "spiritual emphasis week." Thank you and God Bless You!

My Home
by Travis Bryant

I want so dearly to go
Where I have never seen
The place I hear of
The place unknowing
I love.
I want to see your face
To see your smile
And hope the angels sing
for I have not earned my place
But you have saved me one.
I want to go
And be born again
like a baby in your arms
Hold me Lord, take me away
To the place that
I love.
It's my home and now you tell me
"Come trust in me and you will have forever life"
Well I have, so please take me
Give me wings so I can fly and see you
and come home, to my only home.
The devil tells me
"No don't listen He is wrong"
I say "leave me alone devil say no more for you are wrong"
And I look to the sky and pray that some day soon
You will take me away to the place I love
My home.

Larry and Kristen:

Hope that you have had a super year. We're still looking for your Oregon tour. I'm sure you would sell out in every city that you stopped at. Up here in the Northwest you're more popular than Lawrence Welk and Herman's Hermits combined.

Keep up the good work & keep fighting the good fight. Let us know when you will make it up this way.

Hello there Larry Bubb old buddy, old pal, closest friend of all my friends that I only see every other year or so. How are you Larry? Hope all is well with Kristen and what's-his-kitty-face.

Anyway, this is just to say, "Hello," and to let you know that I think of you guys often -- quite a bit more often than you'd know by judging when you actually hear form me! And that I just appreciate your heart and ministry and just love those Perihelamonsters, or whatever they're called! Seems like you're always apologizing for how late they are, but, I don't know about anyone else who gets 'em, but I sure don't ever have any idea when they're gonna show up so I don't actually ever expect them to begin with! It's just always a treat to go to the mail and find one. I read 'em cover to cover, then usually make everyone I know read them as well. And always with the warning, "There will be questions!"

Well, I should let you go back to your busy little evangelistic world. I have a true, and, seemingly funny story for you though before I let you get away.

I found an old Perihelium a couple of weeks ago and just enjoyed every article all over again. I always keep 'em because although some references might be dated, the truths and wisdom in them really are timeless. This one was written during the Persian Gulf War. It was really exceptional and when I got to the letters, I started reading one that talked about how the writer also liked to keep them and look back at them from time to time and how much he enjoyed them long after they came out. So I'm reading this and completely understanding where this guy is coming from and I get to the end, and the goofball writer is me! I didn't even remember writing it, I was just cruising along enjoying another Larry Bubb newsletter and boom, out-of-the-blue, this silly letter from me!

Just goes to show you even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Once in a while I actually have something to say that is actually accurate!

May God bless you and Kristen in all good ways.

Larry Bubb,

Thank you for sending my CD. I listen to it 24/7. I copied your song "Billy" and sent it to my best friend who isn't a Christian. He's in California too. That song caught the words that I couldn't describe to him. I really love my best friend, so it scared me to think that when he dies I won't ever see him again.

I was one of the campers at Trout Lake, MN Senior High Week. Your speeches and songs really impacted me. God has called me to Ministry and seeing you up there just enforced that I want and need to follow and be like Jesus.

I've been a Christian for about 3 years. I have a really sad and hard but promising testimony, only I never knew how it went or ended until you spoke about God.

Thank you so much for coming to Trout Lake Camp and making an impact on me. I hope I've encouraged you to continue, because God is looking down on you and smiling.

With Christ's Love,
Ruth Johnson - Bemidji, MN

(Ed note - I just got a follow up letter that Ruth's friend has become a Christian!)

Larry Bubb,

I just wanted to thank you very much for helping me become closer to God this week by answering my questions and praying with me. So, I just wanted to thank you for helping me make one of the biggest decisions in my whole life . . . to accept Jesus Christ into my heart.

Larry,

Good to hear from you. The kids raved about you. . . . I was really stoked to hear that of course and was mindful again that the last time I went with a Clean Comedian, they have always done an incredible job,

. . . with 7 new decisions for Christ---it's more than worth it! May God continue to bless you and your ministry to students big-time!
